PRINCIPAL ENGINEERS

 

James J. Bibby, P.E., S.E.

Mr. Bibby joined Rempe-Sharpe and Associates, Inc. in 1987. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Project Management from Northwestern University. Jim brings over 30 years of civil and structural engineering experience to the company. He is responsible for supervising the planning, designing, estimating, and construction management of numerous civil engineering projects throughout Northern Illinois. Jim is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois.

William R. Gain, P.E.

Mr. Gain joined the firm in 1975 and has been a Principal since 1980. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign. Bill brings over 40 years of experience and is the primary engineer responsible for managing, planning, and designing water and wastewater related projects including water treatment plants. Bill also conducts comprehensive water and wastewater studies and water rate studies. Bill is a member of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers, the American Water Works Association, the Water Environment Federation and the American Public Works Association.

Daniel A. Watson, P.E. 

Mr. Watson joined the firm in 1988 and became a Principal in 1994. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign. Dan is responsible for project management, project design, plan preparation and construction coordination services for various municipal projects. These include transportation, water, wastewater, and storm water management projects as well as shallow and deep well water supplies, elevated water storage facilities, water pumping stations, and water distribution systems improvements. Dan is a member of the Kane County Water Association, the Water Environment Federation, the American Water Works Association and the American Public Works Association.

 

PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS

 

John M. Whitt, P.E., P.L.S., C.F.M.

Mr. Whitt joined Rempe-Sharpe as a Senior Project Manager and brings 30 years of project management experience. Most notable civil projects constructed in the Midwest include: Spring Lake Dam Modification, Aurora, widening of Meyers Road and 31st Street, Oak Brook, and numerous floodplain reclamation and reconfiguration projects. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin and Arkansas as well as an Illinois Licensed Professional Land Surveyor. He is a Member of the Illinois State Board of Professional Engineers.

 

Brian J. Bennett, P.E., C.F.M.

Mr. Bennett graduated from Purdue University and brings over 11 years of experience in all areas of civil engineering including storm water management studies and design, commercial and residential subdivision design, and construction review.  Brian is a Certified Flood Plain Manager and a member of both the American Water Works Association and the Water Environment Federation.

 

Timothy F. Grimm, P.E.

Mr. Grimm is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign and brings over 9 years of experience in storm water management, water treatment, water distribution, water storage,  and construction related engineering. Tim is a member of the Water Environment Federation, American Water Works Association,  and the Kane County Water Association.

 

Douglas W. Ranney II, P.E., LEED AP

Mr. Ranney joined Rempe-Sharpe and Associates after graduating Purdue University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Doug is practiced in all levels of civil design and construction from planning to design through project completion. He has experience in traffic engineering and infrastructure improvement design as well as bridge and roadway design and construction. He is an IDOT approved NBIS Program Manager of bridge inspections and a U.S. Green Building Council certified LEED Accredited Professional. Doug is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois.
